I've actually seen some funny yet horrible stories of freelance writers being told their original work was AI written. As mentioned in the link, the AI detection tools available today have a terrible hit rate. OpenAI's in-house tool had a 74% fail rate! Ironically, I think humans (especially editors) are still our best bet at spotting robot content at the moment.
